The process of becoming a new patient is meant to be as easy as possible for you.

After accepting you as a new patient, Balance Psychiatry & Mental Health will send your payment and insurance information to its Administrator and Biller, Headway, who will verify your insurance or collect payment information. Insurance verification can take up to 5 days.

Once your insurance and/or payment information is verified, you can expect to receive a follow-up email or phone call from Balance Psychiatry & Mental Health within 3 business days. 

Prior to your first appointment, Balance Psychiatry & Mental Health will send you a link to set up your secure online AdvancedMD patient portal. On the AdvancedMD patient portal, you will receive intake documents, consents, and questionnaires and your responses will be automatically saved to your chart. The intake documents, consents, and questionnaires will provide me with your contact information and biopsychosocial history, as well as will ensure you know your rights and responsibilities as a patient and the HIPPA, Telehealth, Psychotherapy, and Treatment Policies at Balance Psychiatry & Mental Health. Most importantly, Balance Psychiatry & Mental Health will get an opportunity to learn about you and your mind-body-spirit symptoms.

After your first visit, you will also be able to schedule return appointments using the AdvancedMD patient portal located on the Returning Patients page. Fusion Care Group patients will be able to schedule return appointments using the SimplePractice patient portal.
